How your hall is built

Five phases, one point of contact. Real drone footage from a Desco site shows what happens between signing the contract and receiving the keys.

  1. ERDARBEITEN · 01/05

    Groundworks & foundations

    The excavator comes first: topsoil off, excavation, concrete foundations. While the site is being prepared, your steel structure is fabricated in the workshop in parallel — the site never waits for the steel, and the steel never waits for the site. On the project pictured, excavation began in December.

    Your role: No appointments, no decisions. Permits and structural design were completed long before this point.

  2. STÜTZEN · 02/05

    Erecting the columns

    The prefabricated columns are set onto the foundations, aligned and bolted down. No casting, no curing on site: every component arrives ready for assembly and carries load from the day it stands.

    Your role: Watch, if you like. Grid and heights were fixed during planning — from here on, it is pure assembly.

  3. TRAGWERK · 03/05

    Assembling the steel structure

    Rafters, purlins and bracing close the columns into the complete frame. Bolted connections instead of on-site welding: faster to erect, cleanly verifiable. On the project pictured, the complete steel skeleton stood in February.

    Your role: No open decisions. Your contact reports construction progress — not problems.

  4. DACH/WAND · 04/05

    Closing roof & façade

    Roof and wall panels, skylights and gates go onto the frame. With the envelope closed, the building is weatherproof — fit-out continues regardless of the season. On the project pictured, the roof was closed in March.

    Your role: None. Materials, colours and gates were decided during planning — change requests are absorbed before they threaten the deadline.

  5. ÜBERGABE · 05/05

    Fit-out & handover

    Floors, electrics, gates, interior works — up to a turnkey hall, depending on the agreed scope. It ends with acceptance and documentation: you take over an inspected building with a complete file.

    Your role: One appointment: the acceptance. Then the hall is yours — and your point of contact stays the same.
